Our History
Since 1994, Alexi’s Grill has been one of the most respected and treasured restaurants in Downtown Phoenix. After nearly three decades in business, our restaurant has become a Valley landmark. Serving incredible food in a friendly but upscale atmosphere, Alexi’s Grill is known for impeccable service and fantastic food.
Founded by Christo Panagiotakopoulos, Alexi’s Grill received a warm welcome from the Valley community from the very beginning. Michael Zistatsis first joined the Alexi’s Grill staff as a busser, bringing with him the skill, experience, and unmistakably Mediterranean style he absorbed while living and working on the Greek island of Crete. He began working with us on our opening day and spent years building a wealth of knowledge as he took on roles in the kitchen and as a server. Then, in 2001, Michael was presented with the opportunity to become a partner in the restaurant. Determined to carry on the renowned legacy of Alexi’s Grill, he has been upholding our high standards of excellence ever since.
In addition to our Phoenix restaurant, we have also spent over three decades as one of the leaders in Arizona event catering. Alexi’s Catering has catered casual family get-togethers, pivotal business meetings, and everything in between. Our food has fed the stomachs, hearts, and spirits of countless guests celebrating new marriages, birthdays, anniversaries, soon-to-be-born babies, and so much more. They could use some work in the creativity department with some updated entrees and cocktail choices. But very good food, good portions, nice without being too pricey. Great fried calamari. We really enjoyed our entrees as well. Good value on wines. Easy parking, "uptown" location.

1st time coming here. Great service, good food portions and great prices. The staff is very welcoming & attentive to customer needs. My only complaint was the croutons in the salad tasted stale so I took them all out, other than that it was a great experience.
A wonderful find for a fabulous dinner after an afternoon st the Orpheum theater. The waiting staff were very friendly courteous and very attentive. The food was exceptional, off the menu the special was what we ordered, I had the Alaskan cod and wife had the grilled lamb chops, both done to perfection and very tasty. For dessert we chose one serving to share of tiramisu. The whole experience was great.
